About this tea

From Darjeeling
to your cup.

After rolling, the black tea passes through a chamber of burning pinewood shavings. This gives the leaf its smoky character and a trace of pine resin, alongside dried-litchi and floral notes. The cup pours orange-red.

A little care makes a lovely cup

Make it yours.

  1. Measure the leaf

Use 2.5g, about one teaspoon, for one cup. Place in an infuser or teapot.

  2. Let the water cool

Use fresh water at 85°C. A temperature-controlled kettle makes this easy.

  3. Give it 3–4 min

Steep, then strain completely. Best without milk or sugar.

One more cup? Infuse the same leaves a second time.

Smoke with real depth

“The pinewood aroma arrives first, but it does not flatten the tea. A soft dried-fruit note comes through as the cup cools.”

Made for a rainy evening

“Distinctive and warming without tasting burnt. The second infusion was gentler and brought out more of the litchi note.”

Surprising, in the best way

“I bought this for the smoke and stayed for the long clean finish. It pairs very well with roasted nuts.”
