A tea harvester working among wet leaves in the Nilgiri hills

Our story

Tea tastes better when place is allowed to speak.

Founded between Coonoor and Bengaluru

We started Nila to close the distance between the garden and the cup.

Great tea is often made anonymous by the time it reaches the shelf. We keep batches small, origins specific and ingredient lists readable, so every tea holds onto where it came from.

01

Buy with patience

We follow harvest quality, not a fixed calendar. Some teas return. Others make room for what the season did best.

02

Blend transparently

Whole leaves, peels, flowers and spices. If it contributes to the cup, it belongs on the label.

03

Pack nearby

Tea is packed close to the gardens, supporting skilled local work and reducing unnecessary movement.

A daily object

Not ceremony for ceremony’s sake.

We love the precision of good tea, but not the gatekeeping around it. A mug at your desk is as worthy as a porcelain pot shared between friends.
